RUMBLE IN THE PEACHSTATE 2019

The first thing that stepped out with BJ on tape was his first step and quickness. BJ can blow by defenders in a heartbeat and he is very agile as he is able to wiggle around defenders. He has some good size to him coming in about 6’3 and is a 3 level scorer at that. He was very dominant with the ball in his hand, and did a good job finishing at the rim. He was matched up against Braden Pierce who is a 6’7 freshman himself and he did a good job using his body to contort some wild up and unders. BJ is a player who leaves fingerprints all over the game, whether it be attacking the rim, diving for a loose ball or staying with his shot all the way through. BJ has the skills and people around him to have a bright future, and I look forward to tracking it.
Improvements: With BJ playing with such a high motor, he is always looking to score. Sometimes if he set the offense, kept moving the ball around, drives could of been extended. Also going at Braden he should of looked to use the size difference to his advantage and show more of his ball handling skills and try to beat him off the dribble. He wanted to make a play every time he touched the ball and although that is not necessarily a bad thing, he just has to keep getting his teammates involved.  Strengths: First Step, Speed, Finishing at the Basket  Improvements: Awareness, Shooting, Patience. If you FF to those timestamps listed, I tried to put into perspective why BJ stood out to me. His quickness, his ability to finish around the rim, and how he fights for rebounds and finishes through contact. MATHURINE AGENCY
