Kings of the South: 2031 and 2032 Prospects Bringing Skill and Production Early
Cumming, GA – The 2031 and 2032 groups at Kings of the South was fun to watch—full of young players with confidence, edge, and a growing understanding of how to impact the game. This class may still be early in their development, but they’re already starting to show flashes of who they could become.
Class of 2031
PG Shane Gordon – AE5
Shane is a scoring guard with a confident, aggressive mentality. He’s got deep range on his jumper and doesn’t hesitate to pull up in rhythm. Plays with a great motor and has a competitive edge that pushes him to attack every possession. His handle is tight and allows him to create his own shot in tight windows. Defensively, he pressures the ball and competes. The combination of shot-making and grit makes him a tough cover.
PF Gavin McMillan – DHBC
Gavin is a strong, physical presence inside who knows how to create space and finish around the basket. He’s already about 6’1” and uses his frame to his advantage while clearing out space for easy finishes and securing boards on both ends. Plays with toughness and doesn’t mind doing the dirty work. He seals hard, has good touch inside, and rebounds with authority. A reliable big with a strong foundation and room to grow.
CG Loren Hall Jr – Game Elite
Loren is one of the most gifted shot-makers in his class. The handle is tightening, but it’s the jumper that separates him. He can create space off the bounce, shoot off the catch, off movement, it doesn’t matter. His range is deep, and his release is quick and confident. There’s also some playmaking there. Young guard that’s piecing it all together.
CG Paul Smith – Stonecrest Raptors
Paul is a crafty combo who thrives in tight spaces. He changes directions well and has a natural scorer’s instinct. His pace lets him get wherever he wants on the floor. He’s not afraid to take tough shots and makes a lot of them. Plays with confidence and keeps pressure on defenses. One of those guys who always seems to find a way to make something happen.
PG Leshawn Lyle – T3 Mamba
Leshaun is a high-IQ point guard who produces in a variety of ways. He’s calm with the ball, unselfish, and makes timely decisions. When he’s aggressive, he can fill it up from all three levels. What stands out is his ability to run an offense—he keeps teammates involved and balances scoring with playmaking. He’s vocal, locked in, and a true extension of the coach on the floor.
PF Ahzir Hatchett – Atlanta Celtics
Ahzir is a big-bodied forward who brings a mix of strength and developing skill. Already around 6’1”, he’s a load to handle inside and has soft touch around the rim. What’s interesting is his flashes of wing skills. He can face up, put it on the floor, and knock down midrange shots. He plays hard and isn’t afraid to defend in space. With continued growth and polish, he’s going to be a problem.
PG Kennedy Polite – DHBC
Kennedy is a tough-nosed guard who doesn’t back down from anybody. He has a deadly pull-up jumper and uses it as a weapon in transition or the half-court. He sees the floor well and keeps plays alive with smart decision-making. Defensively, he competes hard and takes pride in shutting down his matchup. He’s wired to lead and brings a fire to the floor that coaches love.
SF Davari Tuck – DHBC
Davari is a high-energy wing who impacts the game in a lot of subtle ways. He defends 1 through 4 right now and plays with serious effort. He’s capable of handling pressure, making open shots, and rebounding out of his area. Doesn’t need touches to affect winning. His motor and versatility make him easy to plug into any lineup. As his offensive game continues to evolve, he’s only going to rise.
Class of 2032
PG MJ Dean – MDA (2033)
MJ is already one of the more advanced young guards you’ll see. He played up and didn’t just hold his own, but he produced. He’s extremely shifty with the ball and has a creative handle that lets him get wherever he wants. What makes him dangerous is how well he sees the floor on top of that. He’s unpredictable in the best way. He can blow by the initial defender, pull up, or thread a pass through traffic. Plays with confidence, plays with joy, and you can tell he’s just getting started.
CG Carter Singleton – Decatur Blazers
Carter is a big, young combo guard who already understands how to use his body. He’s at his best as a slasher when attacking closeouts, absorbing contact, and finishing at the rim. He’s long and has a quick first step, making him tough to contain. The jumper is coming along, but his ability to get downhill and put pressure on the paint stands out. He plays hard, doesn’t overthink it, and impacts the game without needing to dominate the ball.
PG Harrison Knotts – MDA (2033)
Harrison has a poise and polish to his game that you don’t typically see at this age. He’s a pure point guard with next-level change of pace and ridiculous touch around the rim. Can finish with either hand and doesn’t shy away from contact. What really pops is his ability to read defenses. He sees gaps early and makes the right pass more often than not. He’s advanced as a ball-handler, but even more advanced as a thinker. Keep a close eye on him. This is an elite guard prospect, even at a tender age.
CG Cam Owens – NightRydas
Cam is the kind of guard every coach wants. He plays the right way, competes, and makes winning plays. He’s got length, plays with good pace, and always seems to make the extra pass or get a key stop. He’s not flashy, but he’s effective. The decision-making is already ahead of the curve, and he doesn’t try to do too much. Quietly productive and always in the right spot. High floor kid who helps his team in every phase.
PG Moe Miller – NightRydas
Moe is a true bucket-getter with great size for the point guard spot. He’s a confident scorer who can get it off from anywhere. He converts pull-ups, floaters and threes. He’s strong with the ball and plays through contact. Defenses have to account for him the moment he crosses half-court. His physical tools plus his natural scoring ability make him a tough matchup every time out. High-level scoring instincts for such a young prospect.
