Note Worthy Hoopers (Middle School): Peach State Explosion II
The middle school division featured some of the best 6th grade teams that played in NGS this season

Carson Frazier | PNP | 2029
Nonstop energy and effort was put into PNP’s team win and a lot of it had to do with Frazier. From pressing the ball full court to making every hustle play, he put his team in a great position. Offensively, Frazier ran the show and showed no hesitancy when challenging bigs at the rim for layups.

Owen Roga | Off Wknd | 2030
Roga plays the game with a ton of swag on the offensive end. The way he handles the ball mixed with his pace of play made it tough for guys to figure him out. When Roga created enough space, the shot was going up. His quick release from long range was very consistent and led to many positives for his teammates as well. Roga also displayed his ability to see the floor well. He made on time passes with precision and put his teammates in high comfortable situations.
Cooper Head | Sewer South | 2030
This lighting quick guard made it look easy breezing by defenders. With the ability to often create for himself, Head displayed a very unselfish floor game. Hitting his teammates on time and in the right place. There was also no worry about him nailing the open trey ball. Head also used his defensive pressure to force turnovers which gave his team fast break advantages.
Cameron Ammons | B3 Academy | 2031
This young forward showed what it’s like to get down the court early and start fighting for good post positioning before the defense is all setup. Ammons did a fabulous job at owning space and taking advantage of continuous mismatches that eventually opened the floor up for his teams. Ammons rebounded the ball well on both ends but completely dominated the offensive glass. He kept the ball high, used his soft touch & had no problem finishing both in traffic and through contact.
Ao Mizuno | B3 Academy | 2031
Mizuno is a guard that showed why it’s best to play him at a distance if your speed doesn’t match his. His end to end speed stood out immediately as opponents tried to press up on him full court. He made them pay each time by either getting all the way to the basket or dishing to his teammates. Another Mizuno did well was run the show well in the half court setting. Keeping his team’s offense flowing wasn’t necessarily his main duty but he did a good job at doing so.

Camden Swanson | B3 Academy | 2031
Swanson revealed some clutch genes at the Peach State Explosion. This young combo guard showed an ability to knock down the long ball and attack close outs. His high arching release and ability to connect from the outside forced guys to close out with a sense of urgency. The young guard attacked with no problem and displayed his smooth floater game to solve that problem.

Preston Barrett | OSA | 2031
Barrett was a key part of his team’s offensive success. The lanky guard showed the readiness to knock down the open shot when presented. Barrett’s hands were always ready for the ball and he played with an open mind of attacking when the shot wasn’t there. Barrett played out of the triple threat stance to help with his success when putting the ball on the floor.
Blake Suttle | ATL Express | 2031
Suttle had a pretty good showing at the Peach State Explosion. The forward used his size and activity to have success. Offensively, he was a rebounding machine, unstoppable around the rim and even showed he can knock down the three ball. Defensively, Suttle’s long arms played a huge part in creating on ball turnovers and picking off cross court passes. This young athlete has a ton of upside.
Roman Suttle | ATL Express | 2031
This two-way guard showed why he was one of the best at the Peach State Explosion. From picking up full-court and locking down on one end to handling the ball and making things happen on the other end. Suttle was a well disciplined defender that did a good job at keeping his assignments in front of him and allowing steals to come to him. Offensively, there was nothing Suttle didn’t do. He scored at will and displayed a very unselfish passing game as well.
Carter Watson | Team Different | 2031
Watson is a crafty scoring guard that always found a way to make a play even when it seemed like there was nothing there. He played with great pace, footwork and creativity. His acrobatic finishes stood out the most but Watson also effectively used the pick and roll action to dominate the mid-range area as well.
