Kings of the South: Bruton’s High School Standouts
CLASS OF 2027

Fox was one of the most athletic players in the 17u division. Showed that he can get downhill and apply pressure on the rim. One to monitor closely. Has good measurables and tools for a combo guard that should attract recruitment from small colleges.

Wilson game isn’t flashy, but it still catches your eye. His length, activity and finishing ability allowed him to produce some solid numbers all across the board. Rebounded the ball well, defended with intensity and scored the ball at all 3 levels.
CLASS OF 2028

Jacques is a tantalizing young prospect that has great size, length and skill for a guard. Standing around 6’6”, he showed excellent passing ability and versatility on the defensive side of the ball. Moved his feet well, protected the rim and created offense as a primary creator.

Isaac is a physically gifted athlete that had success imposing his will on the games. He’s quick off the dribble and can rise up over a defender for mid-range pull-up jumpsuits. He got to the rim at will and converted at the line. Colleges should check in early and track his progress.

Evans showed he can play primarily with his back to the basket or as a face-up post presence. His turnaround jumper was hitting with consistency and he dunked anything around the rim. Runs the floor very well and has an excellent motor. Double double machine worth of scholarship looks.

Yak is an intriguing long term prospect with excellent length and shooting ability. Stretched the floor well with his 3pt shot and was a constant lob threat.

Gatson was a tough cover that posed a big problem for most defenses. He has good quickness from the perimeter for a post presence and was deadly as a pick-and-pop threat. Rebounds the ball well and has soft hands. Double-double threat that poses a matchup nightmare.
CLASS OF 2029

Colbert proved himself once again to be an elite point guard prospect in the 2029 class. He’s no stranger to success and has dominated his division for years. Colbert brought his versatility and scoring prowess to the forefront with high level performances against 16u and 17u competition over the weekend. He has great poise, quickness, speed and shooting ability. Major D1 prospect.

Littleton is clearly a future star on the gridiron, but he’s also quite the basketball player. At his size, he’s a fluid athlete that can blow by most post players and finish above the rim. On the block, he’s too strong for most posts to contain and will bully his way to easy buckets in the paint.

Leonard can score the ball in a variety of ways and against all types of defensive coverages. In his matchup agast Gremlin University, despite playing up, he proved to be a matchup problem that even older players couldn’t contain. His shooting touch, ability to attack angles and his uncanny ability to get to the line proved to transcend divisions. One of several major D1 targets on his Jet Academy team

Jordan has quick hands and makes good decisions on the floor. Didn’t need much room to get his shot off from the perimeter and finishes everything in transition. Utilized triple-threat to his advantage and scored the ball rather easily from the wing.
