Midtown Seniors On A Mission
Midtown’s senior group continues to show its edge and composure, pulling out a hard fought 53-52 win over Lovett in a game that came down to execution and poise. When momentum swung and runs were made, Midtown stayed steady and trusted its leaders to close.

Senior guard Darrion Hadley, standing 6’3”, led the way with 20 points and a complete performance. He scored at all three levels, controlled the tempo, and kept his team calm during Lovett’s pushes. Hadley played with patience and confidence, never forcing the issue and making the right reads when it mattered most. His versatility and command of the game were the difference late.
Senior forward Lawrence Barreau, 6’5”, added 13 points and delivered winning plays on both ends. He came up with key defensive stops, finished strong offensively, and showed the ability to create off the live dribble. That added pressure relief for Hadley and gave Midtown another reliable option when the game tightened up.

Lovett battled to the final horn and continues to trend in the right direction. Junior guard Cam Cannon finished with 19 points and brought energy and creativity, flashing some electrifying moves throughout the night. Freshman Phillip Claybrooks kept his breakout season rolling with 10 points, showing continued growth and confidence. Junior forward Daniel Gadsden also chipped in 10 points and continues to show upside as the season progresses. Lovett now sits at 8-4 and looks positioned for a strong stretch run.
This was a statement win for Midtown and another reminder that their senior leadership is locked in. When games get tight, experience matters, and Midtown’s vets continue to deliver.
