Rock City Classic Middle School Prime Performers
Up and coming talent in the Carolinas was on full display

Chloe Murphy | Team Trezz | 2029 girls
7th/8th Grade Girls MVP
Murphy’s shifty play was unmatched as she took home championship MVP honors. She slashed her way to the cup at will and still hit timely jumpers to keep the defense guessing. Murphy’s patient downhill attack came as no surprise, but teams couldn’t stop it. She’s a top tier talent.

Pierre Hewlin | Team Trezz | 2029
Hewlin has grown into quite the prospect to watch over the next 4-5 years. After making a huge statement 2 years ago nailing a buzzer beater in an NGS tournament, Hewlin is showing the maturation in his game. He’s stronger, quicker and more decisive. Tracking Hewlin’sp progress will continue to be documented.

Quantay James | Team Trezz | 2029
8th grade MVP
James was too big, fast and strong to contain at the Rock City Classic. He made it count around the rim and was lethal in transition. When James got out on the break it was just about an automatic bucket for Team Trezz as he drew so much attention, other teammates excelled too. James had his biggest game inside and outside when it mattered most, as he led Team Trezz to win the rings.

Jahmez Dildy | Seventh Nation | 2029
1 half of the lethal lefty backcourt. Dildy is more of the facilitator that puts the team where they need to be. His vision is clear and he’s constantly looking downhill to find a teammate. The amount of paint touches he exudes gets this squad open quality shots.

Kyreion O’Neal | Seventh Nation | 2029
1 half of the lethal lefty backcourt. O’Neal is more of the scorer. He’s very aggressive when looking for his shot, but it’s not forced. He does it in the flow of the game, normally when the team needs a bucket. Whether he’s open or has defenders swarming him he’s more than capable of converting.

Jordan Miller | WBC Elite | 2029
Miller attacks the basket strong, consistently putting pressure on defenses and relentlessly keeping his team in it. He’s at his best in transition. Miller also defends very well.

CJ Mims | Garner Road | 2030
Mims can stop on a dime and get a bucket. He was dangerous from the elbows and wing. Moms knocked down jumpers in those areas all throughout the Rock City Classic. He made defenses pay when they under played him respecting his ability to drive. If his jumper flows like that all the time, look out!

MJ Thomas | Team Loaded 252 | 2030 | 7th Grade MVP
Thomas is a smooth operator. Standing at 6’5” in the 7th grade, with the ball handling skills he beholds, along with his ability to score at different levels is special. He has the size, fervor and overall game to be a high major prospect when he enters high school. Thomas must continue fine tuning his game though.

Daziyon carpenter | Team Loaded 704 | 2031
6th Grade MVP
The hesitation moves Carpenter had on display were mesmerizing. It was a tall task trying to contain him on the perimeter and keeping him out the paint. The defining factor in Team Loaded 704’s championship quest was the unlimited paint touches Carpenter got. He can fill the stat sheet up quick in a variety of ways.

Cayden Green | ENC Rebels | 2032
Green has a solid frame for 5th grade. He’s a matchup nightmare. Green maneuvers through the mid to low post with good footwork and power. He will be a force to be reckoned with for years to come.
