Kings of the South: Bruton’s 2028 Stock Risers
Cumming, GA – This weekend, JYPT100 and NGSHoops collaborated to form the Kings of the South even. This tournament brought out some of the most talented prospects in the region and beyond, from rising 5th graders to early high school standouts. Across multiple age groups, players competed with intensity, flashed next-level potential, and gave scouts plenty to talk about. Below is a breakdown of some of the top performers I personally watched.
5’10” PG Jake Neal – Scenic City Warriors UAA
Jake plays with a high IQ and keeps the game simple. He’s a steady presence at the point guard spot, making the right reads and not forcing much. A capable shotmaker with clean mechanics and confidence to pull from range. He understands pace and rarely gets sped up. Even when pressured, he stays calm and gets his team into the right spots. Smart, composed, and trustworthy with the ball in his hands.
6’3” SG TJ Foster – Scenic City Warriors UAA
Long, athletic, and a problem in transition—TJ brings a burst to the wing spot. He scores it efficiently at all three levels and doesn’t need a lot of dribbles to get into his spots. His ability to defend multiple positions with his length is a plus. When he’s aggressive, he changes the game with his energy on both ends. The jumper is clean, and he’s not afraid to let it fly when the defense sags. Definitely a kid with next-level tools.
5’11” CG Isaiah Moreno – Team Scoot Pro 16
Isaiah is a tough, under-control combo guard that can score or set the table depending on what’s needed. He plays hard every possession and isn’t afraid of contact. The jumper is smooth and consistent, especially off the catch. He doesn’t waste movement with the ball and keeps defenders honest with his handle. There’s a mature feel to his game, like he’s always thinking one step ahead. Solid two-way guard with leadership potential.
6’2” CG Jeremiah Harper – Team Loaded 3SSB
Jeremiah is one of those guards who can change the momentum of a game with one or two plays. His athleticism jumps out immediately, and he uses it well in transition. He attacks closeouts with purpose and finishes through contact. Defensively, he’s active and capable of guarding either backcourt spot. Still developing as a shooter, but the confidence is there. When he locks in, he impacts the game on both ends at a high level.
6’2” CG Case Presley – Team Loaded 3SSB
Case is a polished scorer who thrives in isolation or off the dribble. He has a quick first step and can create space with ease, and he’s got a nice bag when it comes to finishing. What separates him is his ability to stay calm under pressure and make smart reads when help defense collapses. He shoots it well from deep and has a knack for hitting big shots late in the clock. The defensive effort is there too—he competes. A confident, skilled lead guard.
6’0” PG Dyson Britt – Team Loaded 3SSB
Britt is a jet with the ball. His speed and change of direction make him a tough cover in the open floor. He’s a pass-first point guard with great vision, but he’s not shy about putting pressure on the defense. His handle is tight, and he plays with a certain toughness that stands out. On-ball defense is a strength—he gets into guys. Still sharpening his jumper, but overall his game is ahead of the curve.
6’5” CG Brelyn Moses – Team Loaded 3SSB
Brelyn is a complete two-way guard who plays above the rim and gets downhill with purpose. He defends baseline to baseline and takes pride in shutting guys down. Offensively, he’s comfortable creating from the perimeter and has real scoring versatility. He rebounds exceptionally well for his position, often pushing the break himself. He plays with controlled aggression and doesn’t take plays off. High ceiling, high motor. D1 schools should check in early.
6’3” SG LaDarrius Copeland – Team Scoot Pro 16
LaDarrius is a strong-bodied guard who gets downhill and finishes through contact. He’s got a quick first step and puts defenders on their heels early. When he’s locked in, he creates chaos on defense and forces turnovers with his activity. The jumper is coming along, but his bread and butter is attacking the rim. He plays with urgency and is always in the mix. A physical, relentless backcourt presence.
6’0” SG Masiyer McKoy – Waycross Supersonics
Masiyer is a powerful, high-motor guard who doesn’t shy away from contact. He thrives in straight-line drives and consistently puts pressure on the paint. Dropped 50 in a game this weekend with his style of play. Defenders struggle to keep him out of the lane, and he uses his strength to absorb bumps and finish. He plays with an edge and brings energy every possession. His intensity carries over to the defensive side too. One of those guys who never lets up.
6’1” CG London Caldwell – Scenic City Warriors UAA
London is an athletic combo with a smooth jumper and confidence to score in bunches. He’s comfortable playing on or off the ball and has a nice feel for spacing. Defensively, he uses his athleticism to contest shots and keep guards in front. His elite shooting ability opens up driving lanes, and he takes advantage of them. He doesn’t force much and understands his role. A versatile guard with real upside.
