ATL Hoopfest 6th Grade and Under Prime Performers
It’s always amazing to see the skills evolve from generation to generation. These young hoopers prove basketball is going in the right direction.

Azir Hatchett | Celtics Beyond | 2031
6th Grade Championship MVP
Hatchett continues to fine tune his game. Displaying a jumper with a soft touch, using both hands around the rim and standing his ground on the defensive end. Hatchett has been an impact player for years now. Playing with and against good players he continues to standout.

Gavin Underwood | Celtics Beyond | 2031
Underwood is tearing the Next Gen Circuit up! With his dazzling moves to the basket, crafty in between game and efficient long range shooting he’s becoming a household name. With Underwood consistently displaying his three level scoring and patience with the ball, it’s showing his readiness to take a leap to stardom.

Noah Jones | Celtics Beyond | 2031
Jones is a pest on the ball. His coach Tion Watkins demands these guys play both ends of the floor and Jones is one of the leaders of the pack. His two-way capabilities are astounding and set the tone for a near perfect all-around game for the Celtics in the championship. Jones dropped 14 points.

Braylon Tate | JSmoove Select | 2031
New nickname for Braylon Tate is Boogie. He be on the floor making things look easy! With his smooth spin move that opponents may know is coming, but can’t stop it. Tate also has a good shooting stroke to go along with his finesse play.

Lyle Leshawn | JSmoove Select | 2031
Lyle has always shown he has the capability to control games. It was no different at the ATL Hoopfest. Lyle’s dribble drive is a game changer for the other guards he plays with, because he gives them the space they need when he kicks it out to them as the defense collapses. He’s a highly skilled hooper. As he continues to grow, there’s no slowing him down.

Derrick Tatum Jr | JSmoove Select | 2031
Tatum Jr plays with passion. His fiery demeanor elevated this J Smoove Select group. He wants to defend the best player on the opposing team and spearhead the playmaking. He can play off the ball, but is at his best with the ball in his hands, especially when his gliding downhill.

Kameron Thomas | Beyond Basketball | 2032
5th Grade Championship MVP
Thomas is gaining momentum as an elite big. Obviously, it’s early in his grassroots career to label him that or any 5th grader for that matter, but he’s trending in the right direction. His fundamentals play a huge role into how he plays. Thomas opens up the game completely for Beyond Basketball.

Grant Smith | Beyond Basketball | 2033
4th Grade Championship MVP
Smith uses his body as well as any other 4th grader. He’s a player that if you foul him, make sure he doesn’t get the shot off because his strength is a huge asset to his game. He can put the ball on the floor and get to his spots or post up and go to work in the post. Grant has an intriguing inside-outside presence.

Noah Douglas | ISD ELITE | 2035
3rd Grade Championship MVP
Douglas is a 1st grader playing up two grades with ISD Elite. He made his presence felt throughout the game, scoring 10 points in the 3rd grade championship. Douglas is long with athletic tendencies. Excited to see if he continues to develop that way.
