ATL Hoopfest 7th Grade Prime Performers

In this event, on this particular weekend this 7th grade group was the most entertaining and competitive.

Jax Teal | Game Elite | 2030
7th Grade Championship MVP

Teal shot the cover off the ball to help Game Elite capture the 7th grade ATL Hoopfest title. He gets defenses attention with his shooting then shows off his pump fake and dribble drive when they try to run him off the line. Teal moves well without the ball and gets to his spots when he knows his effective.

Tallen Pinson | Game Elite | 2030
Pinson allows his game to speak for him. He’s a crafty guard with a soft touch. Once he gets you on his hip, call for help. Pinson understands the game at a high level. He can dissect opposing teams with his offensive prowess. His patience is a pure asset.

Trey Hampton | Game Elite | 2030
Hampton has hit a growth spurt over the past year and it’s noticeable in his gameplay. His using his length to get by defenders and shoot over the top of them. Hampton has always made the game look easy. He’s a player that has it all and can fill it up in bunches.

Isaiah Griffith | Bo Bell | 2030
The term dog is used so loosely for players sometimes. In the case of Griffith, he fits the description to a tee. He’s getting to the cup, whether he’s using power or speed or a combination of both. Griffith analyzes his matchups to determine how to gain advantages. He plays fast, strong and for the team. True winning mentality.

Brycen Evans | Bo Bell | 2030
Evans shiftiness is fascinating to watch. He has the ball on a string, good use of both hands and has a mean left to right crossover. Evans is crafty around the cup and can stop on a dime, pivot into something more efficient if the defense shrinks the floor. He’s a highly skilled offensive talent.

Devontae Malachi Hill | Bo Bell | 2030
Hill is ultra active on both ends of the floor. When he has opponents on an island, Hill is most likely going to beat them out and create a play. It’s advised to get the ball out of his hands or show help. Hill can see plays as they’re developing.

Patrick Sims Jr | JSmoove Select | 2030
Sims Jr is a big shot taker and maker. He’s prolific from the wing to corner pocket. His shooting helped J Smoove Select edge out some tough opponents. Another thing about Sims Jr is he plays hard and does whatever the coaches ask of him.

Austin Davis | Jet Academy North | 2030
Davis with the dance moves. Once he gets you on an island he tends to show out with the basketball. Davis has the ball on a string and can create multiple plays off a live dribble. His shot off the dribble is accurate as well, especially from deep.
