Date: April 26-27, 2025 | Location: Ooltewah, TN | Event: Battle In The Valley by NGSHoops.com
The gym was full of talent and energy all weekend as Battle in the Valley brought together some of the top prospects in the Southeast.
2026 – 6’4” SG Solomon Williams – Bicity Canes
Solomon is a physically gifted wing who knows how to win. Playing for an elite high school program, he brings maturity and a confident scoring presence to the floor. He shoots it well, plays above the rim, and doesn’t shy away from physicality. His length helps him impact the game on both ends, and he moves like a seasoned athlete. College-level prospect with the build and mentality to keep rising.
2026 – 5’10” PG Cortez Murphy – Premium Ballerz Elite
Cortez is one of the fastest guards you’ll find. He’s twitchy, explosive, and constantly puts pressure on the defense. What separates him is his ability to stay under control while creating—he lives in the paint, collapses defenders, and makes the right reads. Strong frame for his size and doesn’t get bumped off his line. A true blur in transition who plays with confidence and intensity.
2026 – 6’0” CG Reggie Cooper – Premium Ballerz Elite
Reggie is an active and efficient combo guard that shows up every possession. He finishes well around the basket, can knock down open shots, and consistently makes the right play. He brings toughness, effort, and poise to the backcourt. Doesn’t need the ball to be impactful but is fully capable of taking over stretches. Plays with heart and doesn’t waste opportunities.
2027 – 6’2” SF Drayton Wade – Elite Empire
Drayton is a wide-bodied wing with mismatch potential. He uses his frame well in traffic, keeps defenders on his hip, and creates clean looks in space. His footwork and mobility are strong for his size, and he’s comfortable shooting it when given room. Plays with confidence and a physical edge. Defenders struggled to contain him when he had a head of steam. Very productive and very difficult to guard.
2027 – 6’1” CG Jamarree Hill – Elite Empire
Jamarree is a calm, shot-making guard who plays with serious poise. He handled pressure well throughout the event and stayed composed when defenses ramped up. He’s got deep range and doesn’t need a ton of time to get his jumper off. Also showed flashes of playmaking ability and made smart reads out of ball screens.
2029 – 5’9” CG Quinton Williams – Team Threat
Quinton is a strong finisher who knows how to get to his spots. He’s a confident scorer that thrives around the basket and has a knack for converting tough layups. Defensively, he takes pride in locking up and brings consistent energy. He doesn’t try to do too much. Just plays smart, efficient basketball. A solid all-around guard who shows up every game and gives coaches a reason to trust him.
2029 – 6’3” SG Jaxon Primus – T3 Mamba
Jaxon is an electric athlete and a name that keeps climbing. He plays above the rim with ease in transition, but what really stood out was his ability to stretch the floor as a reliable shooter. He’s long and active on defense, creating turnovers and igniting fast breaks. The blend of athleticism and shot-making is rare at this age. Legitimate high-upside wing with tools you can’t teach.
2029 – 5’10” CG Joshua McGill – T3 Mamba
Joshua plays the game with flair, confidence, and serious shot-making ability. He’s got a quick first step and uses it to create separation with ease. What stands out is how comfortable he is scoring at all three levels—whether it’s a pull-up, deep three, or crafty finish at the rim. He plays with noticeable energy and intensity, and that edge fuels how aggressive he stays on both ends. Defenders had a hard time staying in front of him, and he made them pay when they gave him space. A confident, high-motor guard that brings real juice.
2031 – Myles Jones – T3 Mamba
Myles is a 6th grader playing up in the 8th grade division—and he more than held his own. He’s a crafty guard with outstanding shooting touch and confidence beyond his years. Doesn’t rush, picks his spots, and makes smart plays. He’s already polished in how he handles the ball and gets his shot off. The future is extremely bright with this one. High ceiling and plenty of time to grow into it.
2028 – 5’9” CG Keylen Smith – HIM Select
Keylen is a deadeye shooter with deep range and zero hesitation. He’s always shot-ready and moves well without the ball to get to his spots. The jumper is his weapon, but he also does a good job keeping others involved. Plays with patience and confidence. Doesn’t get rattled and knows how to get into rhythm early. The kind of shooter who can shift momentum in a hurry.
2028 – 6’2” CG Stephon Curry – 615 Tarheels
Stephon is a long and fluid guard with excellent long-term upside. He plays hard, gets downhill, and has no problem absorbing contact at the rim. Shows real flashes as a secondary creator and makes plays in traffic. He’s still developing physically, but his feel for the game is ahead of schedule. Doesn’t take plays off and competes consistently. Prospect to keep an eye on in Nashville.
2028 – 5’10” PG Kamar’e Hamilton – 615 Tarheels
Kamar’e is a consistent, energetic point guard who just keeps coming at you. He makes shots, crashes for loose balls, and brings a spark every time he steps on the floor. The motor is non-stop and the production follows. He may not always be the flashiest guy on the court, but his value is impossible to miss. A glue guy that wins possessions and games.
2028 – 6’0” CG Carson Hart – Shooters Paradise
Carson is a fast, skilled guard with a tough handle and an explosive first step. He’s hard to contain off the bounce and puts defenders in recovery mode quickly. The jumper is reliable, and he uses change of pace to keep defenders off balance. Plays with confidence and constantly probes the defense looking to make a play. Easily one of the toughest guards to keep in front at the event.
2028 – 6’9” C Kamari Grier – Shooters Paradise
Kamari is a freshman with big-time long-term potential. At 6’9”, he protects the rim with ease and has the hands and coordination to control rebounds and finish quickly. He keeps the ball high and plays with discipline inside. Doesn’t need touches to make an impact. Gets easy buckets when the opportunity comes. One of the most intriguing long-term prospects in the gym.
