Bucket List Standouts – Atlanta Hardwood Classic

Cumming, GA. The Atlanta Hardwood took place this past weekend at Dobbs Creek Recreational Center and delivered one of the most talent-rich grassroots events of the spring. Hosted in the heart of North Georgia, the tournament featured elite matchups and breakout performances from some of the Southeast top prospects, ranging from rising freshman to young middle school standouts. Below is a breakdown of a few players that separated themselves with their production, poise, and potential.

Isaiah Lowman | IDBA Select | 2029
Quick, slashy guard with a mean downhill attack. Lowman has an athletic frame and physical presence that he can get to the cup at will and get buckets. He also has a consistent midrange jumper, he was a main asset to this offense.

Elijah Blake | Balling Eagles | 2029
Elijah Blake blends size, strength, and finesse to put constant pressure on a defense. Blake is a nightmare in open transition, getting downhill quickly. Blake will overpower smaller defenders and create mismatches every possession.

Messiah Lancaster | Jet Academy Jr. EYBL | 2030
Lancaster could make a strong case for being the most consistent three point shooter In his class. He will make a defense pay by leaving him alone at the Tre line. Lancaster is impressive with his court vision, seeing open teammates and hustles defending all 94.

Deuce Grayson | Jet Academy Jr. EYBL | 2030
What’s impressive about Grayson is every year he consistently improves an aspect of his game. He can pretty much do everything and is a master facilitator. Major young prospect…stay tuned.

William Ononiwu | Jet Academy Jr. EYBL | 2030
William is the hardest working player in grassroots basketball today. Definition of high motor. When he is on the floor, something is something done…rebounds, shot blocking, full 94 defense, cutting off the passing lanes, you name it. William has a motor on the overdrive. He is the soul of a very talented 2030 Jet Academy team.

Kalonji Cruz | Unknown Elite UA | 2030
Cruz is a bucket getter from all over the floor. He’s a very athletic, quick guard that plays above the rim. Speedy first step that can get to the lanes for buckets. Three level scorer and will make the extra pass. Vocal on defense and plays passing lanes.

Van Patterson | Unknown Elite UA | 2030
Patterson finishes extremely well at the rim with a mature layup package. He also brings an athletic frame, so getting downhill is his specialty. Patterson sees the floor and gets his teammates involved, also can knockdown the open jumper. Plays with a lot of versatility on the defensive end.

Owen Roga | Off Wknd | 2030
Class of 2030 Owen Roga is a true floor general, this PG sets the tone every time he steps on the court. With exceptional court vision and a high basketball id, Owen consistently makes the right reads, whether it’s threading a precise pass-through traffic or creating space for his own shot.

Timothy Battle Jr. | Revenge Elite | 2031
Standing at 6’6”, Timothy Battle has an intimidating presence and makes plays on both sides of the ball due to his length. Plays very well above the
rim with multiple dunks in games. Lots of upside here.

Kovin Kinney | JSmoove Celtics | 2032

At first glance Kovin appeared as a dominant scorer, which he can get buckets at all levels. I was impressed with his court vision and pace, getting teammates involved. He runs the offense well and has a high motor, playing defense with tenacity. Young prospect with a lot of upside.

Porter Baskett | Decatur Blazers | 2033
Porter Baskett is a young talent that is fun to watch. His large frame allowed him to get to the rim over smaller defenders; however, he doesn’t fully depend on this, his jump shot and ability to pass to open teammates makes Baskett a valuable asset to this young offense.
