Lakeview Academy Handles Business Behind Backcourt Leadership

Lakeview Academy girls secured a strong 51-43 win over Roswell at the Wood Elite Classic, and it started with the tone their backcourt set from the jump. Senior guard Emyrie Combs came out aggressive and controlled the pace of play. She attacked the paint with purpose, put pressure on the defense every possession, and lived at the free throw line because of it. Combs led all scorers with 19 points and played like the engine of the team.
Junior guard Jalyn Purdy followed suit and gave Lakeview exactly what they needed. She kept the group poised, made smart reads, and handled the flow of the game with maturity. Purdy is one of those players who impacts winning in ways that do not always show up in the box score. Her communication, spacing, and ability to keep the team organized helped Lakeview close out the matchup.

It was a clean, composed performance from Lakeview Academy and their backcourt made sure the standard was felt from start to finish.
