Shaquan’s Starting 5: Holy Cross Prep Instant Classic

The Holy Cross Prep Showcase in New Jersey featured multiple impact performances from players who influenced winning in different ways. From shot-making and floor leadership to defensive activity and efficient offensive balance, each prospect showed an understanding of their role while making winning plays. The event highlighted players who embraced physicality, pace, and simplicity while impacting the game on both ends.

Dylan Bromwell | 5’10” | 2028 | St. Mark’s (DE)
Sophomore guard Dylan Bromwell showed why he’s a special talent on the rise. Whether the ball was in his hands or not, he did a good job getting up the floor to create space for driving lanes for himself and others. Moving the ball willingly instead of pounding it, making his jump shot respected, and creating paint touches to collapse the defense.

Derek Roth | 6’1″ | 2027 | Central Regional (NJ)
Roth was everything a team needs for his well-coached Central Regional squad. A strong ball handler with size, a facilitator, an aggressive rebounder, and a leader. When talking about guys having the it factor, Roth is one of those guys that just has it.

Dillon Adomanis | 6’6″ | 2026 | Bishop Eustace (NJ)
Adomanis started the game for his team, imposing his will on both ends of the floor. Defensively, he was all in the passing lanes, causing steals and deflections and turning defense into offense. Adomanis ran the floor hard every time down, giving himself easy dunk opportunities. Also, Adomanis did an outstanding job allowing the game to come to him, inside and out.

Jaxen Carter | 5’9″ | 2028 | Central Regional (NJ)
They say there’s always room on the court for a shooter, and Carter displayed that. Not being one-dimensional, he gave his team the spark it needed to pull away in a big-time victory. Carter showed a smooth, quick, and consistent shooting stroke.

Darius Robinson | 6’4″ | 2026 | Pennsauken (NJ)
Robinson was the difference in his team’s tight win over Cherry Hill West. Helping snap a long streak, Robinson was always in the right spot at the right time. Owning the boards, posting and cutting hard, showing good hands, and finishing strong through contact. Something it seems like he embraced really well, keeping things simple throughout the entire game.
