South Cobb Experienced Allowed the Region Win over Dunwoody

South Cobb is an experienced ball club. This team plays at their pace with their fluent offensive sets and ball hawking defensive pressure. This led to a comfortable 59-45 win over Dunwoody at home.

Junior guard #1 Jermaine Freeman and senior guard #2 Joshua Miles are the backcourt that anchors both sides of the ball for the Eagles. Freeman is a smooth lefty that likes to get out in transition and get his team quick, easy and efficient buckets. His downhill attack against Dunwoody was relentless and they couldn’t keep him out of the paint. Freeman showed he can also step outside and knock down catch and shoot opportunities that teammates opened up for him when he didn’t have the ball.

Miles put on a pick and roll master class with the focal point being getting to the midrange jumper against Dunwoody. Miles and Freeman are like ying and yang, Freeman is more uptempo, whereas Miles slows the pace down and operates the half court sets. Even though Miles had the ball in his hands a ton to run the offense, he didn’t let the ball stick to his hands. He ran effective plays and made quick and often accurate decisions.

Even with a .500 record, the South Cobb Eagles are a team you can not take lightly. They had some really close losses that could’ve went either way.
