Snellville, GA– NGS Hoops 2030 Elite 60 at Brookwood High School in Snellville, GA featured another strong group of young prospects from across the Southeast. There was plenty of size, athleticism, shot making and guard play on display throughout the weekend. Below are some of the players that stood out with their production, versatility and overall play.

’30 Aleksandre Tekturmanidze – 6’3” SG from Montverde Academy (FL)
Tall young guard with a good feel for the game and plenty of versatility. Gets to the paint with quick changes of direction and does a really good job using his length once he gets around the basket. His long arms also show up on the defensive side of the ball where he gets his hands on a lot of passes and comes away with deflections. Rebounds the ball really well for a guard and can get involved in several different areas of the game. Still a young prospect with a lot to continue building on.

’30 Peyton Ford – 6’0” PG from Lake Minneola HS (FL)
Quick lefty that weaves his way in and out of traffic with his handle. Has a crafty way of getting defenders off balance and consistently found his way into the paint in the games I watched. Finished nearly every opportunity he got around the basket and showed a really good touch once he got inside. His creativity off the bounce was probably what stood out the most. Really difficult to keep in front once he gets into attack mode.

’30 Cameron Johnson – 5’10” PG from North Gwinnett HS (GA)
Solid combo guard that played within his game and never really tried to force anything that wasn’t there. Made plays in transition, moved the ball and showed that he understands how to play team basketball. Has good form on his jumper from deep range and looked comfortable when his feet were set. Was incredibly active on the defensive side of the ball and his long arms allowed him to bother opposing guards. Looks primed to continue growing physically and has really good long term potential.

’30 Isaac Baldree – 5’8” PG from North Paulding HS (GA)
Lefty was in attack mode all weekend and played with the same level of aggression regardless of who was guarding him. Goes right at defenders and does not seem bothered by pressure or physicality. Is deadly from 3pt range and forces defenders to respect his shot well beyond the line. His shooting ability opens up opportunities for him to get into the paint where he also showed that he can make plays. Tough scoring guard that puts a lot of pressure on defenses.

’30 Michael Link – 6’6” SF from Creekview HS (GA)
Long skilled wing that has the ability to play inside and outside. Showed solid footwork in the post and has soft hands around the basket when he gets touches inside. Also has a really good looking stroke from deep range which gives him a ton of potential as a pick and pop threat. What made him even more intriguing was seeing him put the ball on the floor in spurts rather than strictly playing as a spot-up shooter or post player. A lot to work with long term at his size.

’30 Jack Lipsitz – 5’9” PG from Blessed Trinity (GA)
Really good floor general that did what you want your point guard to do. Took care of the basketball, got the ball to his scorers and kept defenses honest with his own shooting ability. Didn’t dominate the ball unnecessarily and seemed comfortable keeping everything organized. When opportunities opened up, he got to the rim and converted. Was also a pest defensively and stayed involved on that side of the floor. Really solid overall point guard play throughout the weekend.

’30 Marcellous Hill – 5’7” PG from The Galloway School (GA)
Highly skilled point guard with a next level handle and an advanced feel for the game. Got to his spots at will and was extremely difficult to contain in pick and roll situations. Showed that he can run a team, create for others and still make plays for himself when needed. Bigger guards tried to pressure him and he handled it without getting sped up. Really strong court vision and does a good job seeing plays develop before the defense can recover.

’30 Kyan Dennis – 6’3” SG from Troup HS (GA)
Strong bodied guard with the frame and strength to comfortably play the wing in smaller lineups. Showed really good pace with the ball and did a good job protecting it when serving as a primary facilitator. Has the strength to absorb contact and keep plays alive without getting knocked off balance. In addition to what he did as a distributor, he showed that he can score the ball without having to dominate possessions. Played within the flow of the game and allowed his versatility to stand out.

’30 Joel Frazier – 6’3” PG from Capital HS (WV)
Lanky and rangy athlete that looks primed to continue growing. Has a quick burst off the dribble and gets off the ground quickly once he gets around the basket. Made shots from multiple spots on the floor and showed that he can contribute offensively without being limited to one area. His athleticism also showed up defensively where he competed at a high level. Interesting guard prospect because of his length, athletic ability and room to continue developing physically.

’30 Carter Morrison – 6’5” SF from Brookwood HS (GA)
Long and versatile wing that shows a ton of long term potential. Handled the basketball in spurts and looked comfortable making plays outside of simply finishing around the basket. Rebounded the ball well and converted several difficult opportunities inside. Played with a really good motor and did not try to do more than what was there. Stayed within his skillset while still finding ways to impact the game. Definitely one to monitor closely as he continues developing.

’30 Kelley Jackson – 6’1” SG from Eagles Landing Christian Academy (GA)
Strong guard with good length that stayed active throughout the weekend. His movement without the ball constantly put him in good scoring situations and he finished those opportunities at a high rate. Didn’t have to dominate the ball to make an impact offensively. When asked to serve as a secondary ball-handler, he handled pressure well and kept things under control. Was also solid defensively and used his length well on that end. Really productive without forcing the issue.
