Walton Winning Ways Continue

Walton opens the season with a statement win over The King’s Academy the program once again showed why it remains one of the most competitive and consistent groups in the state. Year after year Walton develops talent, plays the right way, and finds methods to close out games. Their season opener followed that same pattern as they defeated The King’s Academy 69-49 in a strong team performance.

The night belonged to Bailey Abare, who scored 19 points and drilled 5 threes. He set the tone early with his confidence and aggression, making his presence felt from the moment the ball was tipped. Alek Avaliani followed with 18 points of his own, attacking the basket, getting downhill, and generating easy scoring opportunities both inside and at the free throw line. Adrian Falayi added 11 points and impressed with high level finishes around the rim that gave the offense another consistent option.

What continues to make Walton dangerous is their depth and willingness to play together. This group shares the ball, defends with purpose, and gets production from multiple spots on the floor. If they keep building on this chemistry, Walton has all the tools to make a deep run as the season progresses.
