All-Star Weekend Prime Performers (Part 4)

BOYS

Galen Roberts | David T. Howard | Fulton | 2027

Roberts was impressive. His size, length and fluidity as an 8th grader make him a tough assignment on both ends of the floor. He showed that he can do everything on the floor as a multi-positional threat.

Daniel Harper | David T. Howard | Fulton | 2027

Harper is an outstanding athlete at the point guard position. Nobody could consistently stay in front of him. Once he gets into the paint, he finishes well and can make the right play for his teammates.

Brock Bass-Bonner | McCluer | Cobb | 2027

Bonner is a true post presence at 6’6” with a developing outside game. He made several jumpshots as a pick and pop threat. In transition, if he isn’t stopped early in the play, he’ll rise above the defense and dunk the ball strong with two hands. Excellent prospect.

Caleb Wells | Jones | Gwinnett | 2027

Wells is becoming quite a familiar name. At 6’4”, he’s a matchup problem due to his ability to score inside and outside at every level. Has a frame that suggests he’ll continue growing and has a game that will translate well with the big boys.

Skyler Bostic | Langston Chapel | Bulloch | 2028

Bostic was one of the slickest ball-handlers in his division. He’s very crafty and changes directions very quickly. As his jumpshot develops, I suspect he’ll become a bigtime scorer that racks up assists along the way.

Case Roberts | Whitewater | Fayette | 2028

Immediately, the quickness and skill level of Roberts stood out. His constant movement and ability to create off the dribble made him one of the crowd favorites. He can score it and he can dish the ball at a high level for his age.

GIRLS

Adison Branch | Marietta | Cobb | 2027

Branch is a versatile player that uses her length well on both ends of the floor. She came up with a ton of deflections with her activity and quickness. Offensively, she finishes well around the basket and will step out to knock down shots with a quick release.

Katelyn Cherry | Factory Shoals | Douglas | 2028

Cherry was an excellent athlete that seemed to be involved in virtually every play. Loved her motor, skill and ability to get to the basket. A ton of potential here.

Ja’Nyrie Robinson | Dacula | Gwinnett | 2028

Robinson was one of the more impressive ball-handlers in attendance. She constantly blows by defenders and she has a deadly crossover dribble. When her jumpshot is falling, she’s incredibly difficult to slow down.

Nakhai Worthy | Martin L. King | Fulton | 2027

Worthy was one of the most versatile scoring threats this past weekend. She has great size for a wing, good form on her shot and has a high basketball IQ. I truly suspect this is a name that will be very well known at the next level.

Calleigh Salvador | Lakeside | Forsyth | 2028

Salvador is a deadly 3 point shooter that can also put the ball on the floor. She burned the nets from the outside and routinely made plays for her teammates. Once she gets a full head of steam, she does a good job changing direction or stopping on a dime to make a decision. Put her on your watch list.
