Cherokee Continues as One of the Hotter Team in the 7A Region

Cherokee continues to be one of the hotter teams in Georgia’s toughest 7A region starting the year off 14-2.  This past week they have knocked off two talented programs Walton and North Cobb in dominating fashion.  In his second year at CHS Coach Veihman has taken a program known for hoops in the area and has them playing sound, fundamental basketball with his only two losses coming by a combined total of 3 points.  Lead by senior guards Tayden Owens, Mason Bennet, Cam Pope and forward Dastin Hart, Coach Veihman has home grown talent competing on the daily basis.   The addition of up and coming prospect sophomore Lawrence Sanford, Cherokee has enough talent to continue to turn heads and make a run in the state playoffs.  With some big contest coming up and GA power house Wheeler on the schedule, Cherokee is a team to tune into and start to take serious.
