Seckinger Defeated North Oconee in a Hard Fought, Back and Forth Contest

Seckinger defeated North Oconee in a hard fought, back and forth contest, 50-45. On this particular night Seckinger was led by Junior guard Carter Watkins and Sophomore wing Tony Wells. Big shot after big shot Watkins and Wells took and made throughout the night. The duo was fearless and relentless in their offensive approach. Watkins is lethal on the wing, his jumper kept the defense honest and opened up the floor for others. Well’s defensive prowess mixed with his versatile offensive skill set created a tough matchup whoever stepped in front of him or he defended all night long. Seckinger has a talented group with 6-7 legit prospects. Looking forward to seeing this young group grow.

North Oconee is led by Justin Payne, an elite lead guard in the class of 2024. Payne’s shiftiness, quickness and shot creation for himself and others is a huge reason North Oconee is 17-4. Payne’s counterparts, 2024 Forward, Evan Montgomery and 2026 Wing, Khamari Brooks are additional prospects to keep a close eye on. Montgomery standing at 6’6” is an athletic Forward who loves to run the floor. Brooks on the other hand crashes the boards and does most of his damage in the half court setting, with his smooth footwork and soft touch around the rim. With most of their core group being in the class of 2024 or under this will be a team to watch for the next few years.
