Lovett Boys Basketball Wins A Nail-Biter

Lovett pulled off a statement win against Collins Hill in a 52-49 nail-biter. Collins Hill controlled the tempo for most of the game, but Lovett showed grit and resilience when it mattered most.
Junior guard Cam Cannon was the difference maker, keeping his team composed and delivering clutch plays late in the fourth quarter. His poise under pressure and ability to create tough buckets helped Lovett snatch victory from the jaws of defeat. Cannon finished with 25 points.

Freshman Phillip Claybrooks was sensational in the second half. His drives to the basket, strong finishes, and unselfish decision making gave Lovett the spark they needed. Claybrooks complements Cannon perfectly in the backcourt, taking on ball handling duties and allowing Cannon to shift off the ball to focus on scoring. Claybrooks finished with 10 points and a huge game winning steal.
It was a battle-tested win for Lovett, proving their ability to stay composed and execute in crunch time. This game will serve as a confidence booster moving forward as both Cannon and Claybrooks continue to develop into one of the more dynamic backcourts in the state.
